Holiday Plaid, 2 Ways.

YELLOW_4

I can’t believe that I’m heading home for the holidays in just over two weeks! It’s totally crazy how time flies. For that reason, I’ve got the holidays on the brain today, so I thought it would be fun to style my favorite holiday pattern… plaid! I’ve put together two of my favorite plaid looks… (just in time for pre-Thanksgiving shopping!) This is basically what I’ll be bringing home to Cape Cod with me.

For the first outfit, I paired my favorite plaid pants with a comfy tee, my bright yellow coat, and a pair of glitter heels. I’d wear this to Thanksgiving dinner or a party at one of my parents’ friends house. (Though my dad asked me why I was wearing pajamas when I wore them to dinner over the weekend. Oh, men!) PS – these pants were sold out but they are finally back… get em here!

Shop the look: J.Crew Coat (on sale) // Old Navy Pants // Madewell Tee // Talbots Heels (from last year, but these are similar) // Gucci Soho Disco Bag {also here, and here in a nice neutral}

And for the second look, I paired a comfy flannel shirt with leggings, my 5050 boots, and an easy jacket. I’d wear this outfit shopping on Black Friday iwth my family… or even picking out a Christmas tree. A word about these leggings… they are basically the comfiest and best leggings ever. I love that the fabric is extra thick, so it holds you in and will never be see-through! And if you get the shirt, be sure to try it in “tall,” that way you can pair it with leggings.

    something about you look different, I don’t know if it’s the hair or something but you look radiant. Specially in the close-up pic of the second look.

    I’m still debating whether or not I can pull off those pants! I’m not much of a heel girl, so maybe I could pair them with loafers….if the temps ever get back up over freezing again 😉 Love both looks!

    Your hair looks amazing. Who cuts it if you don’t mind my asking?

      Hi Kristine!

      So, I actually have not had a hair cut in about 5 months, which is really bad but I’ve had a busy couple months and have been trying to grow it. I’m finally going next weekend. I think the reason it looks good here is the blow out. I got it highlighted over the weekend and afterward, had the best blow-out ever!!! (Jae Cardenas at Sally Hershberger did it… and he also cuts my hair!) Hope that helps and thank you for the compliment!

    I love both of these takes on plaid. The plaid pants in the first outfit are adorable, and I simply can’t believe that your father would mistake them as pajama pants. The flannel shirt in the second outfit is really cute as well.
