Histoire Spring Wish List

I’ve been a little obsessed with the socially conscious design shop Histoire for quite some time now.  First of all, I’ve got a thing for start-ups.  Secondly, I like to give back whenever I can, and Histoire does exactly that.  The company sources product from all over the world and returns a portion of its profits to artisans and communities in developing and underserved areas.)  And most importantly, the stuff is exquisite.  Between the home accessories and the jewelry, I pretty much want everything on the site.

Anyway, they asked me to put together my Valentine’s Day wish list, and it wasn’t exactly hard.  With so many incredible pieces, it was more of a question of narrowing down my selection.  At the top of my list are the Ikat scarf and the Rothko necklace.  When I met their founder, Monica Tai, she was wearing it – truly an exceptionally beautiful piece!

Clockwise from Top Left:  COATT Morse Code Necklace (from the USA) // Horizon Rothko Necklace (from Kenya – truly amazing in person.) // Ruma Bangles (from Kenya) // Hand-stitched Journal (from India) // Ikat Scarf / Runner (from Uzbekistan) // Asmara Stripe Scarf (from Ethiopia)
Please be sure to stop by their blog, to check out my guest post!

Note:  This is not a sponsored post.  I just believe in the brand and wanted to show my support.
