Hat Lady

HAT_5

Every now and then I have a life changing (in the superficial, fashion-y sense) discovery.  This one came via my friend Christine.  We were out in the Hamptons this summer and I was whining about how hats never fit me.  She pointed me in the direction of Goorin Brothers.  I didn’t end up making the trip til a couple weeks ago, but when I did, it changed my life.  Seriously.  I purchased this floppy hat and this fedora and feel like my whole world has changed… I can wear cute hats!  It’s really silly,  but I’m so happy – I haven’t ever been able to find a good one that actually fits my massive head.

Also… these Del Toro loafers have been on major repeat… especially over the weeks leading up to Christmas at work – we were on our feet a lot packing orders but I still wanted to look cute. I’ve been wearing ’em pretty much non stop since I got them (during Moda Operandi‘s trunk show.)  We should talk about the bag, too.  The front pouch snaps off to be a clutch… so smart.

Hope you guys had a great weekend, and thanks for the amazing response to yesterday’s post.  It was really hard for me to write but I’m glad that so many of you responded the way you did!

Goorin Brothers Coco Hat //Juicy Coat (also here + here) // gifted Otte Sweater // Rag & Bone Jeans // BaubleBar Necklace (similar) // Del Toro Loafers // gifted Cleobella Bag // NARS Red Square Lip Pencil

Those flats are so fabulous! I wish I could pull off a floppy hat like this but they always make my huge head look even bigger. You, however, are adorable in it! 🙂

I love a good hat and am so happy that they are coming back, especially for men. I spent hours with the hubs patiently waiting while he tried on hats and finding the right one. Luckily, we have an amazing hat store in Detroit: Harry the Hatter. Hat culture is awesome.

Ahhh love that hat!! I worked on an ad campaign for Goorin in college and got a couple of their hats–totally love. But haven’t seen that floppy hat until now!

That bag I noticed right away but than u said the part snaps off as a clutch!? I instantly was amazed. I think I am going to try and work out a design to make one sort of like it probly with an old drug rug type material I have. I enjoyed this post very much but the funny thing is I have the opposite problem my head is always to small I wear youth sized hats no joke. Sometimes I embrace the bigness of hats as it’s own unique style added to my outfit like I meant it to be to big.

I have the same problem (massive head) and just found out that all of Rag & Bone’s hats come in s/m/l… score! Remembered this post and had to share!
