Lately, I’ve been feeling rather joyful. The past few months have been a little rough. I constantly feel like I just can’t keep up with everything I’m supposed to be doing. But things have gotten better. Also, I’m getting some much-needed help at BaubleBar (Christin is joining my team, which is pretty major.) Things are looking up. Staying stress-free and calm will always be a struggle for me but I know that if I slow down, focus on being present, and focus on the important things (vs. all the crazy minutia,) I’ll be just fine. This weekend, we’re heading to the Cape to celebrate my dad’s birthday. I couldn’t be more excited for some relaxing time with my family. Here are a few things that made me smile this week.
{A glass of wine with the boyfriend after a long week.}
{Our cozy corduroy chaise lounges – my new favorite spot to curl up with my laptop or a book. These are one of the things I was most excited for when we decided to redo our apartment.}
{How fantastical is this wrap bracelet? The best part is that it benefits Free the Children. It’s from Me to We – more than 400 Maasai “mamas” work with them to sell their traditional beadwork and support their families in Africa. Half the profit from any piece from the shop goes to the creator and the other half supports Free the Children who put the money back into their programs that help those in poverty. I love this.}
{You know how much I love tortoise shell. I went on a bit of an Etsy bender, stocking up on vintage + new tortoise chain for a few projets. So much fun.}
{Lastly, the bf and I have a new ritual. Twice a week, we see our trainer. And twice a week, we hit the treadmill – together. It’s a bit rough, getting back into shape, but my new sneakers certainly help! They are so lightweight, and I love the color!}
SO major! i definitely think that i need some cute new nikes as well to make working out fun. see you in t-minus 11 days!!!
This has to be one of my favorite ‘Happy Little Things’ yet! So excited for Christin’s new adventure and love how you’re taking control of minimizing the craziness. Your place is coming together so well and nothing makes hitting the gym better than a new pair of sneakers. Happy weekend to you-enjoy the time with your family! xo
So, so glad to hear things are calming down for you a little bit! You might have to tell me where you found those incredible chaises (which I want to jump through the screen to curl up on right now, haha) and your cozy couch. Loving the tortoise shell… at the moment, it reminds me of Design Darling necklace I’m wanting!
i love your new sofa! it looks extremely snug. my sofa is one of my happy places in my apartment as well 🙂 xx
SO hard to get back in shape! I see my trainer once a week and run or use the stair master 3 days a week. I need to stick to this routine for the summer!
love it all- happy weekend!
Your apartment is looking amazing! Have a fabulous weekend xo
I can totally understand being overwhelmed! I completely agree, sometimes there is just not enough time in the day!

I Love this!!! Esp the gym time together, the Hubs and I do this too – it is oddly a great activity to bring you together. We encourage each other and hate it together!
those quiet little moments are the best. and I can’t wait to see what you concoct with those tortoise shell goodies!
Ooh, I can’t wait to see what you do with that tortoiseshell. And all these sneak peeks of your place have me itching to see the whole thing in person!!! Can’t wait! xo
I am slightly obsessed with chaise lounges and I love yours! Looks like the perfect place to take a nap. Can’t what to see the tortoise chain DIY too!
