I mentioned in yesterday’s post that I had the nicest little weekend out East and I thought it would be fun to put together a little recap with the photos I took… and what we did. Living in New York, it is very easy to forget something as beautiful as the Hamptons exists… less than a couple hours away. Or maybe that’s just me – I had forgotten how much I love it out there.
I mentioned this earlier, but my best friend plans the events for The Daily Front Row, so she is out there quite a bit – and I am lucky enough to get to tag along for lots of these fun little adventures. We stay at her friend’s mom’s guest house and it is pretty much the best thing ever. Though we were really only there for forty eight hours, it felt as though we were a lifetime away from the city and I came back feeling like a new human. Driving along the quiet roads through the dunes, along the ocean… it doesn’t get more calming. We had a yummy lunch at The Lobster Roll (yes, that Lobster Roll… where The Affair was filmed), dinner at The Crow’s Nest, and breakfast at The Golden Pear – more or less hitting all of my favorite spots, three meals in a row. The next day was The Daily’s event. Tennis + rosé in the sun? No complaints here!
Lunch at The Lobster Roll is always a great idea!
Alex and I are both trying to be healthy so we opted for “lobster bowls” instead of lobster rolls. Sure, we really missed that buttery roll, but it was completely delicious!
What I wore to lunch at the Lobster Roll: Lace Shell, Jean Shorts, Sandals. This lace top is so great. It looks completely different on me than it does on the blog (shorter, boxier) but it’s great for beach days… or with something high-waisted.
My Hayden Reis bag, Marni Sandals, and Minnie & Emma phone case. I swear – I didn’t plan on having my phone case and bag coordinate, I just really love palm leaves.
I’m a sucker for good branding.
Required reading, duh.
What I wore to the tennis party – this amazing Rebecca Taylor dress and these amazing wedges.
Hanging out with my friend Ashley. Isn’t her outfit great? I wish I looked cute in hats like that!
Catching up with my high school pal, Andrew! It’s funny how such different paths can lead to the same event… he went to prom with my younger sister’s good friend!
