To kick off my series of guest posts, Kristin from BonBon Rose Girls is taking over S&S today! I’ve been reading BonBon Rose Girls for what feels like forever now… Kristin and I finally had the chance to meet up for dinner at this past Fashion Week… we hit it off as if we’d known each other for years! I love what she did for her guest post… pairing three of my favorite things together… stripes, sequins, and BaubleBar!
Hello my fellow Stripes & Sequins luvahs. I’m Kristin from BonBon Rose Girls and I’m elated to be over here at this beautiful blog today! When the oh so fabulous Grace asked me to come up with a little something for this site, I was so honored as, like most of us, I am a HUGE S&S AND BaubleBar fan! I was also uber excited because she threw down the style challenge gauntlet and I thought it gave me the perfect opportunity to shop my closet and see if I could come up with a look comprised of pieces I already owned.
What was this style challenge you ask? She asked me to incorporate two of her very favorite things, stripes and sequins, into an outfit. So, I headed to my wardrobe and came up with a striped Forever 21 tunic, William Rast for Target skinny cargo pants, ancient Payless glitter pumps, my newly acquired BaubleBar Chevron Necklace, stacked rings from Francesca’s and a vintage mesh evening bag. So, how did I do? Ok…It may not exactly qualify as stripes and sequins…but it could definitely fit into the stripes and sparkles category! Don’t you think?
I’m thinking my stripes and sparkles ensemble might be just the thing to rock on my next date night! Hopefully the hubs is reading this and it inspires him to actually plan one. Haha! So, if you dug what I came up with, I hope you’ll come visit us over at BonBon Rose Girls! Au revoir!
