Great White Dresses.

White dresses are a mainstay in my wardrobe. They are in a way, a blank canvas. Throw on a pair of birks and a tote; you’re ready for a day of errands or a picnic. Add a blazer and a sensible heel? Off to work you go. Gold jewelry and a platform? You’re ready for a night out. I could go on. The little white dress is easy, effortless, and elegant. I don’t subscribe to the “only after Memorial Day” rule, but I do wait until it’s warm (and ideally) I have a bit of a tan to pull mine out. The weather has been quite warm here in Charleston, so I consider my permissiong ranted.

A few personal favorites/highlights.

• I can’t say enough good things about this Staud dress. It’s perfection. It is definitely one of my own personal wardrobe MVPs.
• This Altuzarra dress is a big splurge; I was lucky enough to score one for about 1/5 of the price last year (at the end of the summer, so I’ve been waiting to wear it!) on The RealReal. A good reminder to set up your saved searches.
• This J.Crew dress is one of my all time favs. I wore the heck out of it last year and am really glad they brought it back.
• This Free People mini is another style I have and personally love, it’s just so easy and looks much more expensive than it is!
• This Amazon dress could (easily) pass for Zimmermann. I sized up as it’s a little short. The quality is really beautiful.

PS when it comes to a tan, I LOVE this tanning water! Nothing is better for a radiant, natural glow – without any streaking.
