Gray Malin: Greek Isles.

A little over five years ago, I was in between jobs and had the opportunity to spend two weeks in the Greek Islands… all by myself. It was my first time traveling alone and a truly incredible experience (I talked a little more about it here.) The memories I made during that trip will last a lifetime… hiking up a volcano, swimming in hot sulfur springs… laying on the black beach in Kamari, climbing what felt like 1,000,000 stairs to watch the sun set in Oia… and eating Greek salad and Tzatziki dip for basically every meal. It was truly the trip of a lifetime.

When I saw that Gray Malin had done a series on the Greek Isles, I was beyond happy. All of those amazing memories came flooding back. I’m not usually impulsive about my art purchases, but I ordered the small version of this print immediately. Getting to see the black beach every day is worth it. (And I need to go back. Like, yesterday.) This may be my favorite Gray Malin series yet. Oh – and there is a reason I posted on a Sunday… the collection is on sale, but the sale ends today… just in case you love the photos as much as I do.
