This weekend was the best. It actually felt long, which is rare for me – usually, weekends go by in what feels like a blink and I’m left wondering where the days went. I had a family dinner (my sister, my cousin, my brother in law) at Almond (one of our favorite spots in the city) on Friday, and on Saturday it was one of my best guy friend’s birthday parties so we had a long, leisurely day of celebrating. Yesterday was one of those blissful days of nothing. I slept in, read a bunch (just started this), got caught up on Tyrant (so good but so dark), and took a long walk once it cooled off a little bit.
So, clothes. Something I’ve been playing with lately is layering my longer tops over shorter skirts. I came across the combination by accident (getting ready for an event in a fit of “I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!!!”), but I’m into it! This sleeveless tunic is one of my favorites and a go-to with skinny jeans… it’s too hot for jeans right now so pairing it with a skirt gives it new life.
PS – I’m wearing my favorite cuff… but you should also know about the new Kendra Scott stuff… it’s really good! I’ve always been a big fan of lapis and love this necklace and these earrings.
Outfit Details: Michael Stars Tunic // Isabel Marant Skirt (sold out but love this, this, and this) // Soludos Wedge Espadrilles // Clare V Leopard Clutch // BaubleBar Pisa Cuff // Kendra Scott Necklace and Earrings (c/o) // Krewe Sunglasses

This dress is just beyond adorbs on you! Happy Monday!
Love the long layering, and neutral palette. And, love Kendra Scott… her fall collection is so pretty!
Simple, girly and absolutely cute combo! Grey dress never looked better to me. 🙂

I saw this and thought omg, what a cute dress, but I LOVE that it’s a top and skirt! While I love a good dress or romper because it’s a fast outfit, I love having pieces that are more versatile to mix and match. Too cute, Grace!
Love this look!!!! Definitely inspired me to breathe some new life into my closet by doing something similar. XO, Nicole // http://www.empirestyles.com
It turned out great! I love a layered look. I try to layer when I can. I actually discover great outfit combinations the same way. It’s like clutch time dressing makes you get creative! Often I’ll be getting ready to meet a friend and I’ll use the opportunity to test an outfit out!
