Girls’ Night In.

Alouette Girls Night4

The joke with my girlfriends and I is that I will someday write a book or start a new blog, and it will all about how to throw the perfect dinner party – at your coffee table. Coffee table dinner parties are one of the pitfalls of Manhattan living, but the good thing is that they force you to be creative and think outside the box a bit. My couch and two poufs make for seating for five… and anyone else will happily sit on the floor. It isn’t ideal, but I love my cozy little space and by the end of the night at least two of us are sitting cross-legged on the floor.

Today’s post wasn’t a dinner party per-se (maybe a #singlegirldinner?) but instead, a fun little girl’s night in that I hosted for a few of my friends with Alouette’s yummy new products.

Besides the food, fresh flowers and wine are my very important necessities. As a side note… I picked up these flowers at Adore Floral in Noho… it’s become my favorite place to get flowers as they have such a beautiful selection and can put together the most gorgeous arrangements.

We sampled Alouette’s new Le Bon Dip… all four flavors! These dips are extra creamy and delicious… and go perfectly with a crusty baguette, pita chips, or veggies. These dips are a fun alternative to hummus and blend soft cheese, vegetables, and greek yogurt together. There are four different varieties…

  • Basil, Zucchini & Parmesan (my personal favorite – so cheesy and good!)
  • Fire Roasted Vegetables
  • Zesty Garden Salsa (my other fave – the salsa/cheese combination is addictive!)
  • Roasted Red Pepper & Chickpea

I love serving Le Petite Fromage Cucumber & Dill on a water cracker topped with a slice of fresh cucumber.

Le Petite Fromage is available in four different flavors. Each little wedge has only 40 calories which is kind of amazing considering how creamy and rich they taste! I love the perfectly-portioned size as I can tend to overindulge on cheese, and I really love that there are no artificial ingredients (no additives or preservatives).

  • Garlic & Herb – the closest to the original Alouette that comes to mind when you think about the brand.
  • Garden Salsa
  • Parmesan & Basil
  • Cucumber & Dill
