Everyone’s excited about Valentine’s Day, (and I have to admit that single or taken, I’ve always secretly loved the holiday… I just really like the idea of taking a day to really celebrate your significant other and do something sweet for them… make dinner, give them a homemade card, etc.)
Alas, Skinny Cow has an even better idea… Galentine’s Day! According to a new survey by the brand, 62% of women think Valentine’s Day isn’t that big of a deal, and 74% think that there should be a holiday just for celebrating friendships. Don’t you love that? I find that the older I get, the less I see my close girlfriends. Cross-country moves, husbands, babies, jobs… we’ll plan something and it has to be a month out in order to work for everyone’s schedule! The time we do have together is always really special, though.. and I find I feel less stressed out and happier after spending a night with them.
Tomorrow night I’m having a few close girlfriends over for a night of indulgence. (Chocolate, coffee, ice cream, wine… yum!) Skinny Cow sent over a few of their yummy new treats, and wine will definitely be involved, too.
Skinny Cow’s new creamy iced coffee drinks are decadent and delicious. My favorite is the creamy cappuccino. For my little party, I’ll pour them into vintage teacups (giving my gal pals the option to add a splash of whiskey if they’re so inclined.)
The new truffle bars are so yummy. There are two varieties (milk and dark chocolate.) I broke them up into squares and serve them on pretty little saucers, to encourage nibbling.
Last but not least (and what Skinny Cow is known for… ice cream!) In my opinion, no girl’s night is complete without a little ice cream. The new pops are so yummy. There are three varieties – Vanilla Almond Crunch, Double Caramel Swirl, and Triple Chocolate Ripple. The Caramel is my personal fave.
Thank you to Skinny Cow for partnering on this post!
i love their ice cream bars! 🙂 xo
Girl, Galentine’s Day is from Parks & Rec 😉
hahahaha, I’m the worst. Several friends have pointed that out to me today. 😡
I was hoping this was a sponsored post by JJ’s Diner 🙂
The truffle bars look really good! I have to give them a try. Happy Friday 🙂
I love to treat Valentine’s Day as a day to celebrate girlfriends! (& that confetti is gorgeous!)
Yummy!

I’m definitely one of the 62%! I think love and appreciation for someone should be shown everyday and not be reserved for one occasion. Side note..I love the skinny cow ice cream sandwiches! You get your fix without the guilt 😉
