At this past CEW Beauty Demo, I received Garnier’s new Skin Renew Awakening Face Massager in my gift bag. Basically, its a giant rollerball filled with a lightweight moisturizer.
It claims to stimulate and awaken skin, boost micro-circulation, and instantly brighten skin… while also reducing the signs of aging.
Sounded good to me! (And let’s be honest, who doesn’t like a fun toy to play with.)
I liked the product, but it was not nearly rich enough to serve as a daily face cream. I use this regularly (mostly because the novelty of the roller-ball has not yet worn off on me.) but it works best over moisturizer and under make-up. Kind of like applying leave-in conditioner after regular conditioner… it gives skin that added “boost…” (and it’s fun to play with!)
The rollerball action definitely wakes up skin a bit… and skin most definitely feels brighter after using. Just use it after you moisturize as a fun “extra” if your skin is like mine and on the drier side. The only problem I’ve encountered so far is that I really like to roll the ball around on my face… so sometimes I dispense a little too much product!
