Happy Friday! Okay so full disclosure: I don’t know if these are actual trends but they are things I’m really loving for Fall. I’m definitely not a beacon of what is “cool” or “fashionable” but I definitely have my own personal taste and things that I know I really like.
I’ll work on a post about basics too, if that’s interesting… I have great basics already but am buying a few new things this year (like my beloved favorite silk camisole which I accidentally put in the dryer and now it’s miniature, FAIL). These things certainly are not basics; but they’re things you can expect to see a lot of from me this Fall.
one // POWER SUITS I am loving a good pantsuit for fall. Veronica Beard kindly gifted me this this blazer and I loved it so much (it’s literally perfect!) that I bought the matching pants. It makes me the happiest. (If you want to see the full non-cropped look; it’s also on my Instagram… I wore this suit to their preview!)
I’d like to add one more suit to my wardrobe – in either red or camel. (I feel like red would be so fun for a podcast live show!) ASOS has a fun co-ords section where they have all of their suits + matching sets in one place. I love this short suit but they don’t have my size in the bottoms. Also from ASOS: this red blazer and these pants look awful on the model but could be great IRL. (I find that’s often the case with ASOS… you just have to see, and then maybe it will work!?)
I’d be really curious to hear if you guys have good recs for some fun power suits!!!
two // PRIMARY COLORS! I’m having a BIG moment with primary colors; specifically primary colored stripes. I really love how they look together… just add simple denim and a fun heel and you have a great outfit. I own this ASOS purse (the photo was too ugly to put in the collage) and the La Ligne sweater – the sweater was a splurge but it’s EXACTLy what I was looking for and it’s such a happy combination of colors + so soft – highly recommend.
1st Row: POPSUGAR Cardigan // State Bags Belt Bag // Amazon Sunglasses // Banana Republic Sweater
2nd Row: Rainbow Unicorn Birthday Surprise Headband // Tasha Headband // La Ligne Tee
3rd Row: La Ligne Sweater// Bite Beauty Lip Stain // Madewell Rugby Tee
three // SATIN MIDI SKIRTS. I am really into simple satin midi skirts (tempted to get a leopard one but I feel like that’s become too big of a trend!!!) I bought this one (pictured above) and love it because it has an elastic waist and a little stretch. You’d never know by looking at it. Skirts can be tricky on me but this ensures a great fit. Also, it’s $49… what!? I also have this skirt (seen here on my Instagram in lavender) and it’s amazing – I will probably buy the black one as it would be such a great basic and the fit is really good!
four // GRAPHIC TEES. (Preferably worn with a satin midi skirt or a power suit!) You might have already noticed this but I am leaning verrrrrry heavily into cute graphic tees at the moment. You can go a million different ways with this. Basically, any time I am feeling like a classic white tee I replace it with a graphic tee and see what happens. I personally love a rock band tee (hot tip: search Amazon for your favorite bands and watch a million fun tees pop up like this Led Zeppelin one, which was $18 and elicits a million compliments every time I wear it.) I also have + and am obsessed with this Win-Win Tee and ordered this No Photos Tee during the Shopbop Sale! Oh and we can’t forget my new fav Rodarte Tee!
Love the primary colour trend! It’ll probably be a while before I try it on myself, but I do appreciate how fun it is. So refreshing! ❤️✨

Aren’t they fun!? I need more!
I would so love to see a basics post!
Awesome, will work on one!
I really hate how much I love 90% of the products you post 🙂 In love with the primary colors.
Haha – I’m sorry! (sort of?)
Grace, I think you should wear that ASOS sequin green powersuit to the podcast!! Where else could you wear something that bold than on stage?
OMG that would be insane but also amazing?
Goodwill, Salvation Army, Savers, etc are fantastic places to find power suits! You may have to dig a little, but you can get a whole shot sometimes for like $10. I got a fantastic oversized blazer for $10 last weekend. Saw a very similar style for much much more. Plus, it’s an environmentally-friendly practice!
(You can also find vintage graphic Ts, midi skirts, etc at these places too:) ).
That’s such a good idea! Thanks!
Happy Birthday! Hope it’s a great one.
thank you!!
You are sooo fun. Love ya
thank you!
The green blazer & pants are very attractive. (A head turner) .Everything else looks unattractive to me . U can do a whole lot better on your choices . Not the least bit interested in primary colors / defiantly not a classy r mature choice in my opinion & the full out fit pictures are really bad . A pr of meant & a tee would look mush better than those outfits plus looks uncomfortable.
