I copied my friend Becca (from the podcast) with this dress. Had to do it and am sooo glad I did. It’s such a good price and looks soooooo similar to the one that Christene Barberich wore on the cover of Domino. I love the print! When layered under a warm coat with thick tights and boots, a maxi is actually semi practical for winter – a fun departure from from my usual big sweaters. Also you should know that my fav Soludos boots are on sale and the clear earrings I wear all the time (like in every blog post, haha) are finally back in stock so if you have been coveting them (I love them so much!) I would definitely recommend scooping ’em up while they are in stock.
Hope you guys had a great weekend!
Mine was perfectly productive, lazy, and fun all at once. I stayed in on Friday, recorded for the podcast most of Saturday (we have some fun stuff coming out!!!), went to a friend’s 40th birthday party (it was après ski themed and I wore this amazing snowsuit) on Saturday night, and then took a facial gua sha workshop yesterday (I learned so much and will be doing a blog post about it up here soon!). Oh and I got caught up on The Blacklist, which is one of my all time favorite shows. I hadn’t realized it was back and had three new episodes which was a fun treat.
ALSO, it will be included in next month’s reading list but had to say it here too – this is one of the best thrillers I’ve read in ages! It kept me on my toes the entire time. I finished it yesterday morning and am stiill SHOOK. And in other news, I posted a new vlog to Youtube this morning. It’s all about the little staycation / day in the city I had last week.

I love the way you styled the dress with the Gucci belt, Grace! I usually don’t wear floral in winter but hmm… maybe it’s time to bust out my floral dress afterall!

Thank you so much Rachelle! xx
I’m so glad to hear that The Woman Inside was good! I just saw it advertised somewhere last night (probably on Instagram) and was intrigued but you never know, with so thrillers coming out these days it seems like a lot are middling. But very excited for this one now!
OMG it was so good!!! I hope you love it as much as I did – I’ve definitely been in a thriller rut and loved this!
I just love the idea of a winter maxi and I have got to get more in my closet!

yesss do it!!! It’s shockingly cozy! 😉
This dress is so gorgeous! And your outfit is highlighting the camel coat sized hole in my closet which I swear I’ll fix every winter and never do. I need to do a spot of online shopping…
thank you Ella!!! And I can’t believe you don’t have a camel coat – I absolutely live in mine!!! xx
Love this look! Quick question re: your belt. What made you go with skinny vs. the wider version? And do you have tips on sizing? Considering putting it on my birthday list as something fun and designer I can wear forever and have been looking at the different styles.
Hi EB!
I actually have both. I bought the skinny one first because the wide one was sold out everywhere. And then I bought the wider one. The wide one is perfect for jeans and I love the skinny one with dresses or skirts or high-waisted pants. Hope that helps! For sizing it’s weird bc it’s in cm so I just measured myself with a tape measure. If you’re picking between the two I’d definitely say get the wider one but I wear more jeans than dresses these days!
Love this look! So pretty! How lightweight is the fabric? Do you need layering pieces to keep it from being see-through?
Hi Betsy,
It’s not very thick! But it’s definitely not see through. Hard to describe exactly how thick the fabric is – it definitely drapes a lot like silk but it’s not silk.
Thanks! I ordered it! Even if it’s thin it’s such a gorgeous print that I’ll chance it!
I hope you love it!!! It’s a fun dress!
Love that outfit. You and Becca should do a monthly style series/Who Wore It Best type of post. That would be so fun! And, of course, I had to pre-order the book you recommended. 🙂
Thanks for the suggestion! I like to keep the blog + pod separate but maybe on the BoP instagram! So glad you got the book, it’s really really amazing – far and away the best thriller I’ve read in ages!!!
Oh what a beautiful dress!

oh good I am so glad to hear that! Hope you love it as much as I do!
I bought this dress after you first shared that you got it and now I have a way to wear it in winter!! Thanks! I love your blog by the way. I’m waaay older than you but learn so much from you and get so much inspiration! Thank you!
Awww I am so happy to hear that! Thanks, Bridget! xoxo
That Chanel bag is exquisite! All the heart eyes!
thank you so much!!!
Hi grace! LOVE this look on you. My husband and I are headed to the English countryside/London for a baby moon in February and thinking about purchasing this dress for it. Do you think it would work with a baby bump? Would love to know!
Yes I think so! It’s a shirtdress and quite roomy so it should work. I would recommend maybe sizing up if your bump is big! I oftentimes order two sizes from ASOS to be sure I get the right fit.
Hey Grace – I love this dress! How does it fit vs. Jcrew? True to size or size up?
Thank you!
Kendall
I find that J.Crew runs big whereas ASOS is more true to size. So maybe go one size up vs. your J.Crew size.
Amazing thank you!
