Floral Eyelet Dress.

Ann Taylor Floral Eyelet Dress - The Stripe.
Ann Taylor Dress // J.Crew Belt // Saint Laurent Purse // J.Crew Sandals

I spotted this floral eyelet dress on my friend Fran’s site (check out her site, she’s one of my favorites!) a few weeks ago and ordered it immediately. I’m really trying to be a little better about dressing for my body type and all that, and this silhouette is a good one for me. A short (but not cap) sleeve, a flattering a-line silhouette, and a not-too-deep v-neck. It’s like the trifecta of flattering things… and did I mention that it’s on sale? I’ve worn it to meetings a few times now (already!) but I have quite a few weddings coming up and this is the perfect rehearsal dinner dress!

Hope you guys are having a great week! I’m so happy that it’s already Friday. This weekend, I have my cousin’s wedding out in New Jersey, which will be so much fun. I don’t know about you, but family weddings are my absolute favorite. It’s so nice having everyone all together, and we always end up having the best time. Dancing all night, drinking too much, and so on and so forth.

Did you buy your “normal” dress size in this dress? It’s so pretty and I’m thinking of buying it, but I’m usually between a size 4 and 6 (solid 6 in upscale department store designers like DVF) and the 6 is sold out. Given how much vanity sizing there usually is at stores like AT (or J Crew, or Banana Republic, etc.) I’m curious if you think the 4 could work.

      Hi Lily,
I did get my normal size… but I think that the size 4 could probably work. I am usually a 6 or 8 and got the 8, but I think I could have gotten a 6 in this and be fine. Hope that helps?
