Fit For A Hotel.

It’s no secret that I like my home to feel like a hotel. That is especially true when it comes to my bed. I have a king size bed which is indulgent for a New York apartment (and a single woman living alone). But I love my bed so so much. Getting a big bed was the best decision I made when furnishing my Brooklyn apartment! I make my bed every morning and I love to sleep. And as an introvert who travels a lot and has a rather active social life, I want my bedroom to be a sanctuary from busy city life. It’s my oasis! Where I read, where I sometimes sip my morning coffee or an evening glass of wine. My bed is my happy place!

So when Bloomingdales offered to upgrade my bedding with beautiful new linens from SFERRA, I jumped at the chance. I selected this beautiful duvet cover, these pillowcases, and these shams, along with a cozy throw which is perfect for snuggling up with a good book. I mixed navy piping with grey to do something a little bit fun and different.

You can see from the photos that it looks great, but I LOVE this bedding. The fabric is an ultra luxurious Egyptian percale. It’s thick and has a bit of a sheen (so even after you’ve been sleeping with it for a week it still looks beautiful and not at all rumpled), but it’s still insanely soft.

    • Yes! It’s such a game changer to me, usually they’re rumpled and sad looking after a day or two – not with these!

    • I think I might put plants there at some point. I considered books but I like my space to feel very zen and books can feel a little cluttered!
