Beach bags are the same as trench coats… the best ones always sell out!
I bought my favorite beach bag a couple years ago at The Coqui Coqui while visiting Tulum. It was handmade in Mexico, is made out of woven palm leaves, and is (extremely) oversized. It is incredibly lightweight but always manages to hold everything I need. At the time, it was a bit expensive, but it’s lasted forever which makes it worth the money. Though we still have a while before beach weather (it’s freezing and rainy here in New York), I’d recommend thinking about your tote du jour now. If you wait until summer actually shows up, all the good ones will probably be gone.
I tried to find some options similar to my beloved woven palm, but it was tricky. This and this are very similar, otherwise you will just have to make a trip to Mexico. In the meantime, I love all the ones in today’s collage. The pineapple one is epic, and this one is especially great as you can pack it in your suitcase and it won’t get ruined. But also, pom poms.
great roundup! I’m going to Sayulita in a couple of months and need a great beach tote. now the only problem is deciding which one!
So cute! I’ll take 1, 4 and 7. Is three too many to take to the beach? Hmmm.

I have one similar to the first one that I love. It has cute pom poms on it. The only downside is the handles – the straps can be too short to wear on your shoulder and the bag gets heavy!
