I’ll be honest… I am a little bit in shock that yesterday was February 1st. HOW!? Time seems to be flying by at rapid speed and next week the fashion week activities commence. I really don’t know how that happened! To prepare for all the shows and parties, I’ve been doing a little bit of shopping. I picked up this matching crop top + skirt set from Susana Monaco and really love it. Both pieces have just the right amount of stretch without being too casual, and they’re cut very well. They’re pretty affordable too, and will mix well with other pieces I already own. I paired it with my fav By Malene Birger Trench (despite the snow on the ground, it was actually warm out!) and my go-to Highland Boots for a look that is super easy, but still pulled together. We’ve talked about this trench before but it’s the greatest… the top part comes off so you can wear it three ways – as a trench (pictured here), a longer vest, or a cropped jacket. As I get older, these are the things I get excited about: neutral pieces that are versatile and let you not really have to worry whether or not you properly match.
I hope you guys are having a great week. Yesterday was spent getting organized and catching up on work (my email situation is not okay right now… if you’re reading this and I owe you an answer on something, I’m sorry!) ending with a fun event at One Kings Lane’s HQ to celebrate Garden & Gun’s new cookbook! (It’s amazing for the record… if you love Southern cooking as much as I do, you need it!) I’m pretty sure my next dinner party is going to be Charleston-inspired. Pimento cheese needs to happen.
