I’m still wrapping my arms around the fact that this is/was the last summer that Cape Cod will be home. I mean, a place can still be “home” even when you move but it’s weird to me that next summer I will be saying, “Oh, I’m going home to Charleston this week to see my parents.” I grew up on Cape Cod and despite having lived in New York for twelve years (and Boston before that), Cape Cod has always been home!
This past trip was so nice.
My sister was there for the first night, and then Becca joined for the last couple nights. I got a lot of quality time in with my parents, I slept a lot… it was nice to go home and be a little lazy. I put together a little outfit diary with everything I wore. I’ve talked at length about what to pack for a weekend on Cape Cod (and I also have updated my Cape Cod travel guide with all of my favorite spots!)
PS – anytime I post her, everyone always asks. Muddy (above) is half welsh terrier and half airedale. She’s quite a handful but we love her.
Above Outfit: Calypso St. Barth Tunic (ugh I miss this brand so much! Similar options here, here, + here) // Rag & Bone Cut-offs, Krewe Sunglasses.
The coziest striped shirt from Frank & Eileen. (And ice cream, and blueberry picking… aka the best afternoon ever!
I honestly have such a problem with Ganni dresses. This is my third wrap dress from the brand. They are the best. I wore this one with my YSL slides. (It’s also available here!)
Outfit Details: Josa Tulum Kimono Coverup (a few years old but their store has a ton of pretty options) // La Blanca One Piece (my FAVORITE – so flattering, and also on sale in pale pink)
Left: Seafolly palm leaf kaftan // Nude Sonix Sunglasses (they keep selling out but the style is called Coco)
Right: Marysia Suit (also here) // Lace Kimono (THE BEST AND ONLY $20!!!) // Black Sonix Sunglasses (they keep selling out but the style is called Coco)
I love the laid-back looks – they all suit you so well. 🙂
The palm leaf kaftan is super cute! ❤️❤️

thanks michael! it’s the best place ever!
Hi Grace- I have a Welsh terrier AND an Airedale, so I am dying over the pictures of your family dog. She must be a character. I’m a new reader, love your blog!
Oh wow, so you definitely have your hands full!!!!!
I’m with you on feeling like you’re losing a piece of home. My parents are moving from Chicago, where I grew up, to LA. I can’t wrap my head around the idea that I’ll be spending Christmas amidst palm trees this year.
It’s so weird, definitely bittersweet!
I love all of the looks, especially the red bathing suit! My parents still live in the house I grew up in so it’s hard to imagine not calling that place home. At least they are moving to one of your favorite places!

What happened to Caypso St. Barth? I didn’t realize they were gone- I love them too!
I have no idea, it’s so sad though!
