Everything I Wore Last Week 5.12.21

Well, well, well…. we are… getting dressed again!?  It’s true, and I will be honest – I’m ready for it. My sweats have been retired (more or less I guess… I also live in a much warmer climate now) and I’ve been putting on cute outfits again. It feels good to make an effort. IDK if I’m full on ready for revenge glamour (maybe my next trip to New York?) but for now I will settle for pretty sundresses and heels!

I used to be pretty good at documenting my daily “real life” outfits here, but I stopped when quarantine started. It’s been over a year since my last one (thanks, quarantine!), Since the weather is turning around, my sweats are put away, and my social life is getting back to normal I thought it would be fun to bring this series back. So here we are… everything I wore last week!

Everything I Wore Last Week, 5.12.21.

Tanya Taylor dress | Everything I Wore Last Week 5.12.21

Monday

I had dinner at my parents’ house. My sister and her fam were visiting and it was so nice to see them. Also, it was hot – eighty degrees! I wore this Tanya Taylor dress (it’s an older style, via Rent the Runway), my fav Holst & Lee Popsicle Earrings (gifted), and my beloved orange birks. Also: a Madewell denim jacket from 5 or 6 years ago (this one is pretty similar), and the best $15 sunglasses from Amazon.

ba&sh sweater | Everything I Wore Last Week 5.12.21

Tuesday

I had drinks with a local publicist (at Bistronomy, a new favorite!) and then met two of my girlfriends for Chez Nous for a late dinner. I wore this ba&sh sweater and this  Misa skirt (both are current) and these Margaux  sandals.

red Joie dress | Everything I Wore Last Week 5.12.21

Thursday

I had a few meetings did a photo shoot for my friends at Guesthouse. I wore this red Joie dress (bought this winter so it’s now on sale) and these Loeffler Randall leopard slides. And a chunky necklace from Lovard.

Saint James striped tee

Friday

Just working from home all day! Wore a Saint James striped tee + these Madewell cutoffs. If you get the cutoffs, order two sizes down from your usual jean size, they run quite big!

gold nap dress | Everything I Wore Last Week 5.12.21

Saturday:

My friend Molly invited a few of us over for a fun outdoor lunch. I wore the gold nap dress, these heels from Margaux, and these pavé hoop earrings from Studs.

Loeffler Randall velvet slides

Sunday

I had a friend visiting and we went to dinner at Chez Nous (yeah, I went there twice this week – it’s definitely one of my favorite spots here!) I wore a silk wrap dress from Figue (two years old), earrings that I bought on vacation in Cartagena a few years ago, and Loeffler Randall velvet slides (several years old – also have in pink and green).

How have I not been to Chez Nous!? Loving those Margaux sandals. And may need to try those Madewell shorts. They’ve got some new styles that I’m eyeing.

Oh I’m so glad! It’s not velvet though – it’s silk (soooo warm here I don’t think velvet would be great in Charleston!)

I love this post, Grace! I am also sooooo ready to dress cute again, and I am totally over sweatpants (matching sets included!). Would love to see more daily looks!

I feel the same! Even the cute matching sweatsuit sets have lost their luster. I am sure I will want them again when the novelty of being social is over and I miss my comfies again. But for now they are retired!

Hi! I have the St. James striped top on my list, and I am wondering how you chose your size for that perfect slouchy look? Thanks!

Hi Annie, it’s hard to remember as I bought this one years ago (actually in France at their factory on a press trip!) I think that this one just ran big. Think it was unisex and I took a medium!!!

I love all the outfits, but the last one ,the silk wrap dress is gorgeous on you! I remember when you bought those earrings. Very elegant Grace. Fun to see this series again. You obviously didn’t gain any weight during quarantine!

Hahaha this made me laugh. I did actually gain weight during quarantine… but have truthfully been so stressed out from this move and a few other things happening that I’ve lost some weight. It definitely goes up and down!
