Everything I Wore in Sayulita.

Sayulita was one of the best, most restorative, most fun trips I’ve had in a while. On Wednesday I am going to share a recap of everything we did, our incredible AirBnB, etc in a travel guide of sorts, but today I wanted to share all of my outfits! Girls trips are the most fun to pack for – we got dressed up a bunch (even though Sayulita is pretty casual) but that’s half the fun!

Above:

Love my Ulla Johnson Bess Dress. It’s like a nightgown but better because it has pretty lurex straps. Honestly, I got asked a lot of questions about sizing and I would say take your usual size, or go down a size if you are less busty. This is a tricky dress to wear if you are busty as if your boobs stick out, it will make you look big all over. I got a 6 in this which is my usual size in Ulla.

Also, I used the bow in the back to tighten it in the chest as much as possible and I wore this strapless bra to kinda just smash my boobs down. Sexy, right? This is the quintessential girls-girl dress. You aren’t going to get asked on dates but it’s amazing. It’s pretty voluminous but that makes it fun. It comes in navy blue, too. I paired it with my fav Rachel Comey earrings. You’ve seen me wear these a million times now and they are THE BEST.

I wore this outfit to hang out by the pool.

It’s a swimsuit and then out to lunch in town. This Modcloth Kimono is super fun. They were one of our sponsors over on the podcast, so if you use code BOP you can get 15% off your order of $100 or more. Also, I got a medium and honestly it’s too big but it works because it’s a kimono. I wish I got a small.

In addition, I wore this over my faaaavorite black bathing suit which happens to be on sale now. This suit is fantastic- I think it’s really flattering and sucks you in. And then it’s my Rag & Bone boyfriend shorts (size down), Steve Madden sandals (they look like the Hermes ones!), go-to Palmgrens bag, and these fun BaubleBar earrings.

Left:

I still wear this Madewell dress SO much. Anyone else still have this dress? Honestly, I feel like sooo many of you bought it too, and I am never going to part with it as it’s my favorite. I bought it three years ago (see it on the blog) I paired wit with my gold birks and Palmgrens Bag. Also, I couldn’t find anything too similar but I love the look of this and this (from Target!)

Right:

A fun coverup that I bought on the street in Sayulita. (All my fav coverups are from vacations in Mexico!) + the trusty Steve Madden slides. For something similar try this or this… both are on sale!

This Ganni dress (also available here).

I LOVE this brand. Everything they make is amazing and this dress is no exception. I got a few questions on sizing and it’s pretty true to size. I took a size 38, which is a US 6. It’s a little low cut so I just wore a cute bra with it and didn’t stress if it showed a little bit.

I paired it with my Palmgrens bag + Loeffler Puffy slides! (I get asked a lot of size questions about LR – I always take my normal size in their shoes and never size up even though it says to size up on the website. If you have wide feet size up, otherwise you’re probably fine).

A few selfies for good measure. 😉

I got so many questions about the lipstick I’m wearing in the pic on the right. Rarely I wear bright lipstick anymore but felt like it was necessary with a nightgown dress. I love this lip pencil as it stays on all night but doesn’t dry out your lips. The color is called “On Point.”

And one last outfit!

I got soooo many questions on this top when I wore it on my Instagram story. It’s this top (also available here) and I want to note that it looks far more scandalous on the model than it does on me. You can knot it tightly or wear it a little more loose. I got a medium in this. I love this brand but am baffled by their sizing. Apparently a medium is a 6 and a large is an 8. (WTF!?) I found that the top ran a little bit big (the medium fit more like an 8) BUT I have other things from the brand that run more true to size. Just wear a cute bra underneath as it will probably show a little. I paired it with my GRLFRND cutoffs (love this brand) and once again, the puffy slides.

I usually wear almost always Rag & Bone shorts but like these GRLFRND ones are fun. They are more high waisted than the Rag & Bones and a little bit shorter but still cover your butt! I wear a size 28 which is my usual denim size.

You look beautiful! One note though… I paused when I read the sentence, “You aren’t going to get asked on dates but it’s amazing.” I know there was no ill intention, but I feel like you look great, feel great, and that happiness exudes. Feel good first. Thus, there is no reason for you to not “get asked” on a date — we aren’t required to wear something body hugging for another’s eye, right? Just a thought.

LOL. We got plenty dirty and sandy.

But part of my job is to document what I wear so we also did that. Hence this being a post about what I wore.
