Embroidered Green Dress.

Embroidered Green Dress - The Stripe

The struggle is real people. I’m not a stick figure so I’m not supposed to wear shapeless things, but sometimes I can’t be helped. I love my shapeless sacks and am going to wear them regardless. This one’s a bit more flattering than some of the ones I pick as it shows a little leg and a little shoulder… but I firmly believe that while dressing for your body type is important, dressing for your happiness is even more important. This green embroidered dress is so cute + comfy and also happens to be under $100. It was sold out at Revolve for ages but when it came back into stock I snapped it right up.

Lydia and I took these photos last week on Cinco de Mayo and then met up with Christine + Ali for tacos + margaritas. We went to The Quarter in the West Village which is a total hidden gem (so much so that I might regret telling you about it)! There is always room to sit outside + they have the yummiest tacos. Annnd, during happy hour it’s only $6 for three tacos.

Anyway, hope you guys had a good weekend. Mine was so much fun… a good mix between fun, working out, and getting work done… I’m feeling refreshed + ready for a busy week!

candy shop vintage breast plate necklace

I’m a little obsessed with this breastplate necklace, so be prepared to see it around here a lot this summer! It’s from my friend Deirdre’s line and actually just went up on her site today!

I think it ‘s pretty hard to wear shapeless dresses in general for most people, but I always find adding heels really helps, and it looks great on you here 🙂

I’m right with you girl, I always want to wear shapeless dresses too but they don’t quite work on my body. Just finding the right fit can make all the difference.

The color is great. I agree the shapeless isn’t always flattering, unless worn with a jacket. I think you look great and festive.

I’m with you! I am about the furthest thing away from a stick figure, but I love love love shapeless dresses. They are always so breezy and summery. I think yours looks great!
