Recently, a creative/fashiony friend of mine was talking about someone, saying that that person was lame and only wore fit and flare dresses. My entire face fell. “But I LOVE fit and flare dresses,” I exclaimed! And I stand by that. Sometimes I dress to be fashiony and cool (usually failing), and sometimes I dress to look good. This dress is one of the most flattering pieces I own. I am obsessed with it. I wore it to a dinner party during fashion week and got so many compliments on it. The thick brocade fabric feels so luxe and fancy… I know I’ll probably pull it out for holiday parties this winter, too.
Also. I get asked about my Tribute sandals a lot. I have had them for years and they are still one of my favorite pairs of shoes. I’ll get the tip of the stiletto replaced every season and then they’ll be good as new. If you decide to invest, I’d recommend getting the lower height (which I’m wearing)! So much more manageable than the super high ones… I can wear them all day long.

Can I please have your hair? It’s amazing! Also, anyone who doesn’t like fit and flare dresses is crazy. I couldn’t live without that silhouette.

Who cares what others think. Wear what you want. Life is too short to give a damn. The look is flattering on you, and the pattern/colors are great.
Love those shoes!
What’s wrong with a fit and flare dress?? The silhouette never goes out of style and is pretty much universally flattering. I think the critic in question may be in the minority on this one 🙂
You look so amazing in this shoot! Your hair looks fantastic, could you share your routine?

I got a blow out this day. I wish I had better advice, haha! My two DIY secrets are a) Rahua’s hair mask in between blow outs (it’s suuuuuper hydrating) and Shu Uemura’s hair oil (also super hydrating and great for taming flyaways.) Thank you for the compliment!!
Love this dress! It’s such a great cut.

Perfection!
Great seasonal transition look! Would still be perfect for Fall with some extra layers but great for these moments when it’s a bit warm. Full skirts and pockets are always my favorite parts of a dress.

I love this dress on you! The secret to style is figuring out what works for you and sticking with it. And throw in something different every so often for fun. You’ll always be happier and more confident when you feel good though!
