Easy Summer Layers
Today’s post is about something I find a little bit underrated: summer layering pieces. Think breezy button downs that won’t touch your skin, cotton sweaters for cooler nights, lightweight jackets, cardigans you can throw on over your shoulders (or put on when you get cold at the restaurant or movies), etc.! I am always cold so I really rely on pieces like this.
A few highlights:
- I never really thought of myself as a denim jacket person until seeing this one from Sezane. I love the longer length and more deconstructed cut.
- This linen button down is gorgeous and only $20.
- I’ve been hunting and hunting for a look similar to Anne Hathaway’s Coachella look in The Idea of You (really I just love the idea of a long denim shirt with shorts). I just got this Anthropologie “jacket” in the mail and it is perfect.
- This Jenni Kayne sweater is more like a jacket than a cardigan; I have it in two colors and love both.
- No one does stripes better than La Ligne. This pullover is wonderful. (Use GRACE10 if you are new!)
- When in doubt, add a linen blazer!

Thank you for this post. I live in the sweltering south, so there is little to no opportunity for a summer sweater, even at night! However, I do love layering up on weekends away to the mountains. We are in those dog days of summer now. The mountains are calling, and I want to look cute up there.
