Cocktail Hour: The Hot Toddy.

easy hot toddy recipe - the stripe

Mmm… the Hot Toddy! I love a good warm cocktail this time of year and the Hot Toddy is always a favorite. I’d never tried making them at home until more recently and was kind of shocked by how easy it is. It’s really just combining your ingredients and then pouring boiling water over them. Easy peasy, and the perfect treat on a cold day!

A hot toddy sounds pretty delicious right about now. I never quite realized how easy they are to make. I’ll definitely be trying this recipe out in the near future. Plus, I hear that hot toddies make a great remedy for a sore throat, so even more reason to try one.

I love a hot toddy in winter, whenever I feel a cold coming on its the first thing I do. Right before bed and I reckon (it could just be a placebo) that it solves the issue by morning.

I use whiskey instead of brandy/cognac though!

Me too! I feel like they really do cure all. Love the idea of using whiskey instead.
