Easy Breezy Summer Style
Since moving to Charleston I’m almost always in a dress. Preferably, a loose fitting one! It’s hot, humid, and sticky (not unlike New York during peak summer, to be honest)… so I rely on breezy dresses like this one. I want to be comfortable and keep as cool as possible, but also look cute. Free People has long been one of my favorite brands for summer dresses (and cozy tunic sweaters during the cooler months!). They have such great pieces for summer – high quality, feminine, breezy, and fun.
This particular mini dress is a new fav.
I love the fabric, I love that the bow in the back lets you get the perfect fit (while also looking cute), and that it has pockets. It comes in nine colors… I think I may need the Ivory one. I usually buy a small in Free People dresses but sized up to a medium here as I was worried about length (I’m 5’8 for reference). And I am happy I did, and while it is a little loose, the tie at the back ensures that it still fits properly! And these flat sandals pair so perfectly with it. I had been looking for a good pair of minimal sandals and these are exactly what I had been trying to find.
Free People has amazing accessories…
I love these earrings and my bag (comes in 4 colors!) and sandals… but Free People is actually especially great when it comes to sunglasses! I’ve long been saying that Free People is one of my secret spots for great sunglasses that are affordable, cute, and come in unique colors and shapes. These are only $25, and they have so many other great styles on their site.
