Happy Earth Day! I thought it would be fun to put together a little round-up of some of my favorite eco-chic finds from around the web. As I’ve gotten older I’ve gotten a lot more conscious about both what I put in my body and on my skin… as well as how my actions impact the Earth. These pretty little things will help you do exactly that – without sacrificing style.
1. Apolis Garden Bag // 2. Earth tu Face Body Butter {my absolute favorite – coconut cardamom bliss} // 3. BKR Water Bottle {cut out plastic water bottles and stop injesting BPA} // 4. Maiyet Scarf // 5. Ilia Lipstick {hydrates like chapstick, colors like lipstick. Even the packaging is recycled.} // 6. Bond No. 9 Earth Day Fragrance // 7. Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask {an obsession of mine, I wrote more about it here} // 8. Chinti & Parker T-Shirt // 9. Lite + Cycle Candle // 10. Chinti & Parker Organic Cotton Striped Dress // 11. Khepri Pouch {made entirely from vintage/recycled materials} // 12. Birchbox Free for All Box // 13. Ilia Lipstick Crayons // 14. Stella McCartney Backpack
A few easy ways to be more green:
- Carry a glass water bottle {no more plastic bottles} and a big tote {nix shopping bags} wherever you go.
- If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your face. And when you can buy beauty products that are easily recyclable {I love how Tata Harper products all come in glass packaging.}
- Choose organic cotton when possible. 25 percent of all insecticides and 10 percent of all pesticides are used on cotton.. yikes!
- Shop vintage whenever you can, and buy in moderation. I’m admittedly still working on this one… but when I think about all the clothes I got rid of this past year, I cringe.
- Don’t {ever} throw it away! Sell your clothes online or donate them to Goodwill.
I’ll take that tote and the striped dress, please! Such a great roundup!

Really the greenest thing to do is buy less clothing in general. Goodwill can’t house all of our clothing rejects! And most of the clothes told today include synthetic fibers which don’t last long and don’t survive in the second-hand markets.

You are completely right… thanks for pointing it out! I am trying to shop less — buying only those pieces I’ll have forever… but sometimes I slip up. That’s such a good point about synthetic fibers too… I hadn’t thought of that at all!
Great picks! Love that striped dress!

Great picks!
That dress is so pretty! I’ve been getting pretty good at donating things, but I really should try to buy fewer new items.

I donate or sell all of my clothing except panties b/c …. ew! I love reusable water bottles and gave them and canvas totes away for our wedding favors.
I love all these picks! The dress is my favorite! Thanks for sharing the great tips too! Happy Earth Day!

love that if you won’t eat don’t put it on your face tip.. think you said that last year and have totally been trying to make some changes in that front. hard to switch from the products you’re used to! fun post.
What a great earth day post! I love all these products. BKR water bottles are my absolute favorite. I carry my small one with me almost everywhere, perfect as I run from class to class in college. And then I also have the larger version that I keep at my desk. They are my absolute favorite water bottles!
I love that Chianti and Parker dress, and so great that it is organic cotton. Happy Earth Day!
that dress is super cute!
