Happy Earth Day! While I believe in living as green as possible every day, Earth Day is a great time to reflect, set goals, and think about what you can do be even better to the Earth the following year. My youngest sister is the environmentalist in the family and constantly reminds me that I can be doing more. If you’re already doing the basics (recycling, minimizing electricity usage) there’s other things you can do. This past year I started using nearly all natural products (beauty + cleaning products.) This coming year, my goal is to buy as much (all if possible) of my meat + produce locally. The farmer’s market is such an amazing place to shop… I just need to drag my butt out of bed on the weekends, rather than using Fresh Direct.
Shopping at brands that are eco-friendly is important too. I never knew how Lands’ End is actually celebrating planting their millionth tree with the National Forest Foundation this year, and the brand actually recycles 90% of the waste generated at their corporate center. They do other cool things, too… their HQ actually has a corporate garden where employees can grow fruits + vegetables for themselves + to donate, and employees who carpool to work get preferential parking spaces!

On a completely non-Earth Day related note, I love this dress so much! Yellow is one of my favorite colors (so happy & cheery) and the lace details makes it look so much more expensive than it actually is.
