Since today is Valentine’s Day, and since I did just wrap my series on Parisian Style, I thought I would share something that is extremely high on my wish list… a pair of shoes from Roger Vivier! Now here’s an interesting fact… did you know that Ines de la Fressange (yes, the author of Parisian Chic, my bible,) is also the creative director / ambassador for the brand? At 51 years old, and more stylish than I’ll ever be. Of course it only makes me want a pair even more!
There’s the color block collection… (would die for the cobalt blue or kelly green,) it’s basically an update to his classic flat. These are probably at the very top of my wish list. So fresh and fun… perfect for Spring.
While flats are classic, and something I wear every day, a great pair of heels is another must. Those polka dot d’Orsay pumps are just amazing. My two favorite colors, and one of my second favorite patterns. I can’t seem to find them online anywhere, but I’d be equally enamored with these in cobalt.
Before I leave you… one last fun fact about the brand, from my friend Meg, who is a shoe goddess herself (in her career, she’s been the shoe buyer for both Saks and Bloomingdale’s… wowsa.) Roger Vivier is actually owned by the same man who owns Tod’s! I always love learning the who owns what’s of the fashion world..
