DIY: Rope + Crystal Spike Necklace

I’ve been seeing so much gorgeous rope jewelry this summer. ย After purchasing this bracelet and drooling over this necklace, I decided to try my hand at making my own version. ย The below necklace incorporates a new favorite combo of mine – natural rope, sparkly crystals, and tough spikes. ย It also was the perfect way to use one of my favorite new supplies – foil tape. ย It’s a fairly easy project, with big impact – be prepared to get quite a few compliments! ย (PS – for a more subtle take on the rope necklace, try this!)

Materials / Where to BUY: ย 90″ 1/2″ wide Cotton Rope // Strong Glue (I used Gorilla Glue) // 5 Size 55 Silver Cone Spikes // Aluminum Foil Duct Tape // 3 Crystals – I used these exact ones. // 4 12.5mm long cord ends // Large Lobster Clasp // One large jump ring.
