I know, I know… two DIY projects in one week! (I had a very crafty weekend and shot several projects… still have several more up my sleeve.)
This necklace has been in the works for quite some time, but it took me quite a while to find the perfect quartz crystals online. I got the inspiration from Jenn’s Instagram (you should probably be following her, she’s one of my faves) and featured the necklace that inspired the project here. I can’t even tell you how much I love this necklace – I can’t stop wearing it. This one is an easy one, you just need the right supplies… luckily, I sourced ’em all for you!
Materials: 7 6mm Jump Rings // 5 large (12mm x 16mm) end caps // about 16-18″ brass curb chain
Pliers // E6000 Glue // Lobster Clasp // 5 large rough cut quartz crystals*
*A word about the crystals… get the largest size – 1″+. I bought the 2lb bag and many of the crystals were not the right size, but within the bag there were several suitable options.
Start by loading up an end cap with glue. Seriously… use a lot of glue.
Stuff a crystal into the end cap.
Repeat 5x, and allow to dry (preferably overnight.)
Attach a jump ring to the top of each pendant.
Attach your pendants to the chain. I spaced them out, one pendant every 5 links.
Attach a clasp to one end and a large jump ring to the other, and you are done! (Pretty easy, right?)
It’s amazing, I love it so much! And it’s very easy to make, I can see 😉 I just need to find these crystlas… 😀
Really awesome DIY. I love all of ManiaMania’s stuff.
It’s so cool!

This is so awesome, Grace. I love the look of rough-cut crystals. Tough and pretty at the same time!
See, this is so amazing, because I initially looked at it and thought…that looks so well put together and time-consuming, but honestly…super easy. Thanks Grace! 🙂

Ooooo. So simple and stunning. Nice find on the end caps as well. Big ones seem hard to find sometimes.
The crystals would make me think that I’m wearing good luck charms around my neck! And the fact they’re clear means they’d go with my entire wardrobe. I love love this idea.
Hugs, Jennifer

Wow that necklace is so adorable and classy. I love it! I’ve actually been creating jewelry too with Swarovski crystals and necklace chains from M&J Trimming. Don’t know if you’ve heard of them, but they’re having 15% off all chains right now. You should check them out.. Such good accessories to create new jewelry designs with. The promo code is CHAIN201. And it expires 8/31/13.. I’d say it’s well worth it!

Oh, wow! This is such a great DIY, Grace! I have been really into crystals lately. I see a craft night in my near future.
This is awesome! My next DIY for sure, what is the thickness/ size of your curb chain?
Another DIY I would actually wear 🙂
