Digital Lavender

If there is one color to consider adding to your closet this season, let it be lavender! In this Marie Claire piece from last week, they really honed on lavender, praising its “calming yet feminine effect.” Meanwhile, WGSN named digital lavender 2023’s color of the year. At first, I was a little hesitant to try this color. It felt too sweet?

That being said, it’s grown on me quite a bit and I feel like there are easy ways to wear it. I have started with this ultra soft Dorothee Schumacher cardigan. (Still pricy, but it’s on par with Khaite in terms of quality; this is a great affordable alternate). After that (it’s become one of my favorite sweaters), I purchased this J.Crew blazer which just came in the mail last week (it’s fantastic).

How I plan to wear lavender

With denim (blue jeans and white), over my shoulders with a white dress, with lime green (I like the colors together, I’d pair lavender with a lime green bag or shoe), with orange (maybe). But mostly just with jeans and classic pieces. With statement/trendy colors, I find it’s best to let them shine and keep the rest of the look simple and easy. I am thinking next maybe a dress (I LOVED this lavender look on Mary, by the way). We will see. But one thing is for sure. Whether you buy one piece or five, lavender is this Spring’s big “it” color and worth playing around with.

I’m loving this color trend! I just ordered a Digital lavender cardigan from The Drop collection and get wait to get it! I’m not a purple person (never have been), but this particular hue is just really nice?

Lavender is one of the few pastel shades I actually like and it reminds me of growing up in the 80s. Glad it has made a comeback!

I was definitely influenced and ordered the jaquard mini. Such a great little dress! Just trying to decide if I’m going wear sneakers or sandals with it!
