Detox

SKIN_2

Right about now, everyone I know is doing a juice cleanse.  I am not.  I love a great juice cleanse here and there (read about my Blueprint experience here) but this time around I am doing a skin detox!

Sisley cosmetics just launched their new Botanical D-Tox Night Treatment.  The premise is that our skin is overworked and tired {yes and yes} from fatigue, everyday stress, a hectic lifestyle, pollution, etc.  D-Tox is meant to give skin a break to help it purify itself, recharge its batteries, and find renewed energy.  Sounds pretty good right?  I’ve been using it for about three weeks (the detox period is four weeks.)  Every night, after I wash my face, I apply three pumps to my face.   I love the formula (hydrating but not at all greasy} and I love the aroma {it smells faintly of sage + lavender, which has a nice calming effect on me before I climb into bed.}

My skin definitely looks better than it did when I started.  I have noticed that I look visibly less tired and much smoother.   Probably most importantly… there have been many a morning where I look like I’ve had a much better than I actually did {read – hungover but not looking like it} and for that alone, I’m really grateful!  If you are looking to give your skin a special post-holiday treat, and maybe undo some of the damage you did to it in December, then you must give this one a try!

On a separate note, something that I learned from Sisley:  Nighttime is when skin is in its regeneration phase, so that is the best time to apply any stronger products you are using, to get the maximum benefits.

{PS – the pouch is from my sister’s line!}

This post is sponsored by Sisley Cosmetics, a brand I use every day.  All opinions are my own and I would never feature a product that I did not completely love and trust {especially skincare – you don’t mess around with that.

    Super cute pouch and anything that can help defend my skin from the awful toxins in the city air is a huge plus.
