Cuyana Fall 2014.

I remember when I first discovered Cuyana. I featured them here after my first introduction to the brand when we (BaubleBar) had our big summer pop-up in Soho. We had an event with them one evening, and I fell in love with their leather totes. A few months later I ordered my own monogrammed tote and it still goes with me everywhere I go… it’s one of the best purchases I’ve made. The leather is soft + supple and it holds absolutely everything… carrying me from morning meetings to the office and out to events afterward. I’ve acquired a few more of their pieces over the past couple years and love each of them like children. There’s the overnight bag (also monogrammed; my constant travel companion on short trips), the alpaca infinity scarf (it feels like it’s made from angel wings), and the tees (a more recent discovery but the cotton is amazingly soft and the fits are spot on.)

Last week, Cuyana unveiled their Fall collection and it’s as one would expect. Positively dreamy. Only a handful curated styles, in a covet-worthy color palette. Rich cranberry, gray, camel, navy + pine green. There’s this tote (in an updated silhouette; with lighter, smoother leather), and this alpaca sweater dress which would have come in handy during last year’s cold. My favorite piece from the Fall line is the shoulder bag (available in four colors; I’m wearing it in Stone). The silhouette + hardware make it elegant + ladylike, but it’s roomy enough to fit all of my essentials. It’s an instant classic, and while Cuyana says “The Perfect” quite a bit in their marketing, it is truly “the perfect” shoulder bag.
