Yikes. Is this weather a joke? The 15 minute walk home from work last night left my feet (which were already amply covered – with ski socks and my Loeffler Randall Matilde boots) frozen. Even after a good long shower, my toes remained red and swollen. As I curled up into bed, I kid you not… I couldn’t feel them. I tried to explain all this, along with the frigid temps to the boyfriend (who is out in L.A. for the week,) and he laughed at me. Thinks I’m being dramatic. (Moi? Never!)
All I know is that I need new boots. Pronto. And to maybe double up on the ski socks. And maybe start walking to work wearing a ski mask. Global warming is starting to feel like a myth.
I’m coveting snowbunny style boots with fun details. The more laces, fur, and/or sherpa, the better. Here are my top 5 picks. 1. La Canadienne (how cute is the lace-up detailing + wedge?) ?2. Bearpaw (my favorite, but too expensive. Anyone have a code to endless.com? 3. Old Navy… the cheapest option of the bunch… who would guess? 4. Sporto (classic, but love the angled leg opening) 5. Sorel (a fun and furry take on the classic duck boot… adore the red sole.)
…My budget is tight right now, so I will probably go with the Old Navy version… but how gorgeous are the other options?
