Blame it on popping into Theory with my cousin over the weekend. Everything was perfect. Perfectly coordinated and perfectly neutral. Racks and racks of buttery cashmere in oatmeal, cream, camel, and acorn. It reminded us both a lot of our late grandmother, who was always impeccably put together and usually wearing some combination of oatmeal and/or camel. It got me thinking though, how easily these hues pair together. My favorite ensemble I think would be this sweater paired with this leather mini skirt (such a good price)… and maybe these boots.
Speaking of Theory, they are having their Friends & Family sale right now! (Through 10/11, take 25% off sitewide with code FRIENDS) I ordered this top after seeing it on Merritt (see how she styled it here – LOVE) and I just have to tell you it is the best thing ever! We shot it for the blog this week but I had to tell you about it now just in case it sells out. (Right now the Theory website is the only place that seems to carry it.) Merritt is definitely my off-the-shoulder spirit guide… I added 3 off-the-shoulder tops to my closet this year and they’ve all been things she’s featured or recommended.
Lastly, how great is this little saddle bag? My cousin and I both obsessed over it at the store. It’s just so neat and you can also hold it by looping your hand through the ring and “wearing” it, like a bracelet. I didn’t even realize that Theory made bags and now I am just obsessed!
