Cocktail Hour: The Garden Maid.

Garden Maid Cocktail Recipe - Grace Atwood - The Stripe8

Today’s cocktail hour is a delicious one… and it would be perfect as a (slightly classier than green beer?) St. Patrick’s Day treat. It involves the most refreshing ingredients – cucumber and mint… along with St. Germain which has always been one of my favorite liquors. The end result is light, delicious… and looks far more complicated than it actually is. Why not invite a few of your favorite friends over next Thursday to celebrate with a few of these!

Ingredients:

  • Muddled Cucumber
  • Muddled Mint
  • 2 oz. Vodka (I used Made Real Vodka)
  • 1 oz. Lime Juice (fresh is best, but in this case I used 1/2 oz. Rose’s + 1/2 oz. water)
  • 3/4 oz. St. Germaine

Muddling the cucumber is easiest when you have small pieces… so for each cocktail, I took four thin slices of cucumber and cut them into quarters.

I added a few fresh sprigs of mint and muddled away.

Add a few cubes of ice…

Mix in the rest of the ingredients, and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint… done!

Delicious! I like St. Germain, Too. I also love the word “muddle” haha.
