Coat Season.

Once the temperatures start to cool off, coats + boots are easily my two biggest weaknesses, shopping wise. If you have on a great coat and a fab pair of boots, nothing else really matters. I already told you about my favorite boots for Fall (here) so today I wanted to chat about coats a little bit.

After last year’s Polar Vortex (please, let’s all cross our fingers and our toes that we don’t see a repeat of that nonsense again this year) staying warm is top priority. But looking chic is a close second. I was surprised to see how many gorgeous coats Nordstrom has right now… all for under $200! When I saw this army green toggle coat, I snapped it up immediately, but it was a tough decision. There was this gorgeous pale gray shawl collar coat, this chic & oversized pink peacoat, and this navy/black coat… not to mention this insanely chic oversized navy peacoat (I think I’m going to go back and get that one… I haven’t been able to stop thinking about it!) All so good.

Today’s outfit is classic + cozy, and perfect for a crisp Fall day. You really can’t go wrong with a great plaid shirt, black jeans, and ankle boots… it’s fool proof! (The plaid top I’m wearing can be found here… it’s Equipment and I can’t stop wearing it!)

More great coats under $200…

Other amazing Fall basics..

I love this whole outfit! Casual perfection! You look so cute & cozy. I find coats so hugely important to my winter wardrobe. Living in eastern Canada, the whole “polar vortex” everyone talked about last year is just known as “winter in Canada” around here. 😉 Spending essentially November-April in winter coats gets to be super boring if you don’t mix it up with a few different ones, so I’m always on the hunt for cute new (WARM!) coats! Love yours!

I know I’ll be kicking myself for saying this, but I can’t wait for it to get a bit cooler so I can start wearing my coats again! LOVE this look on you!

I’ve been thinking about getting that oversized pink peacoat, but I just can’t decide! I’m venturing to our Nordstrom later this evening in hopes that I can try it on and decide 🙂

That jacket is so great. I really don’t love the cold, but I love coats. I think they totally can make an outfit!

So cute! I love toggles and I’m definitely keeping my eyes out for a new plaid shirt this season.
