Did you guys see Clover Canyon’s exclusive collection for Gilt?
I was lucky enough to attend a party for the launch a few weeks back and fell in love with all of the prints, which were actually created exclusively for Gilt by Clover Canyon. Out of everything, my favorite piece was this silky little slip dress. To be honest, I’m not really a huge prints person (besides stripes, polka dots, + the occasional floral) but I love this pattern so much. Also – this dress is not neoprene! I was talking to a few of my girlfriends about Clover Canyon and was surprised to learn that several of them actually hate neoprene. I actually really love CC’s neoprene pieces as they’re so structured and the thicker fabric creates such a clean, flattering line, but I will agree that it can get pretty hot + sticky during the summer months (Sidenote: in this outfit post from a couple years ago I’m wearing one of my favorite CC neoprene dresses.) Alas, this dress is a nice airy silk… perfect for hot + sticky summer days in the city.
Also, I can’t say enough good things about this denim jacket. I have basically been wearing it every single day since getting it… I’m not really sure what I did before I got it!
I hope you guys are having a good week. Mine’s been jam packed in the most fun sense of the word. On Monday I attended a party to kick off Negroni Week (recipe coming a little later today!) On Tuesday, I went to the most delicious dinner at The Musket Room (go, and try the pork or the passion fruit pavlova!!) with Matua Wines, and last night I helped to host a fundraiser with New Yorkers For Nepal (you can donate here if you’d like.) Tonight I’m actually going to Tasting Table’s Lobster Rumble (which pretty much sounds like my dream come true…)
I’m going to need a night off after all of this fun!
