How was your long weekend? I am half embarrassed/half proud to say that I had a rather lazy long weekend. On Friday, two of my friends and I went out to Storm King Art Center (which is amazing, btw!!). We packed a picnic and rented bikes for the afternoon and just rode around, enjoying the fresh air and art. I would highly recommend it (it’s about an hour drive from Manhattan, making it the perfect day trip). On Saturday, I worked and then had a few friends over for wine + snacks. Sunday was spent researching + attempting to make boozy ice cream (I’ll hopefully have a recipe for you soon – still perfecting my honey bourbon recipe… basically, it’s all about figuring out how much booze I can get into the ice cream without jeopardizing its ability to freeze – ha!), and yesterday I just got caught up on work. Low key but nice.
This outfit is my faaavorite + something I will be wearing all Fall. An easy striped sweater, ultra flattering (leg-lengthening!) flare jeans, and this amazing jacket (which is still available in a few sizes – it’s the best!) A great pair of flares is a little bit of a wardrobe game changer. In all honesty I frequently forget about mine or don’t wear them because I’m lazy (putting flares on requires immediately putting heels on, and I don’t always want to do that.)
PS – ICYMI, yesterday I posted my second Youtube video! This time was a beauty post – all about my favorite highlighters and how to use them.

I think this is the most casual I’ve ever seen you! I love the sweater, seems so comfy.
You’re right, I’m usually in dresses!
Hope you have a great week, Marta! xx
What a jam-packed weekend you had – sounds like lots of fun! Cute outfits too!

It was really fun! Thanks Charmaine! Hope you have a great week ahead. 🙂
I love everything about this outfit! I’m not sure how I feel about flares making a comeback but you look great in them! I keep saying it’s because I’m short but I think you pointed out the lazy factor & I’m pretty sure that’s exactly why I’m hesitant about embracing flares again!
Thank you Kellie! I think flares are especially flattering if you are short – they make legs look so long! But skinny jeans (and flats) are just so easy… haha!
I love Storm King so much! Glad that you got to experience it!
