I know that I mentioned this in another post but prior to leaving to Hawaii, I did a massive closet and apartment clean out. I wanted to return from vacation to an apartment that felt serene and relaxing (rather than overly cluttered and chaotic, which had become the case). As a part of that, I donated ten huge bags of clothing. Oof. Too much stuff! One of my goals this year is to be more ruthless about maintaining a tightly edited wardrobe… full of sharp classic pieces that easily mix and match and none of the riff-raff. Getting dressed should be simple, easy, and uncomplicated! I still feel like there’s more work to be done, but I’m getting there.
Here are some pieces that make the cut. A simple black dress with great lines, the perfect trench, a camisole that works for dates or the office, and great accessories to pull it all together (hiii mirrored shades + leopard clutch!)

Love these, but especially the over the knee boots and lace green dress!
I definitely keep things to a minimum. I don’t have money to spend on junk clothes or junk anything else. I try to get something that will last and is versatile. Just having what I need, makes me happy, is practical, etc, makes for a much better life. That includes people too.
Love all of this. That green dress is gorgeous!

I just picked up a similar black fedora and believe it or not, it’s the first hat I’ve owned that isn’t meant to be worn in the spring/summer months! Your Hawaii photos (and snaps) have been unreal. Hope you’re having the best time!
It must be the change of seasons bc I just did the EXACT same thing. Even purged my pantry (got rid of TWO bags of crap). Amen!
Loving the little tank, perfect for any season!

I find it hard to purge out my closet sometimes but after it is done it feels so good to look at items that I actually enjoy wearing! I’m loving the mirrored sunglasses for fall! 🙂

Love these! I’ve been eyeing that exact leather J. Crew jacket. Do you have it? I’m so curious what it’s like in person…
I don’t, but would love to know too! the but is so good — different from what’s out there but still very classic.
Right?! I love that it’s just something different but still has a classic look. I’ve been debating between this one and a more classic moto style from Madewell. Decisions…
