This year at Christian Siriano, I got to experience the show two ways – backstage, watching the models getting primped… and on stage, watching the actual show. I’m not sure which I enjoyed more. The hair was insane: a big teased out pony, wrapped at the base using extensions. The nails were super cool and modern (a neutral base with a solid yellow stripe down each nail.) And the clothes. I mean, wow. To me, the best part of being at the shows is the fantasy that comes with it. The music comes on… the models come out… and when the clothes are outrageous and amazing (and not necessarily something you could pull off every day), that’s just the best.
There were feather dresses, crop tops with matching skirts, and this amazing combo (my fave!) My photos of the clothes weren’t that great, but you can view them here.
Christian Siriano seems like he would be super nice and fun to meet. I remember him on Project Runway. He definitely has a great style. Lucky you to be there!
I really like Christian Siriano, his collections are always beautiful and very feminine.
I can agree that backstage life is also very interesting. I took part in a great number of shows and I should say that the main and the most significant part of everything that is going on, is happening at the backstage.
