Charleston Style, Part 3.

Annnd, my third post from Charleston. This post might be my favorite of all, just because Gray did such an amazing job capturing the essence of The Zero George Hotel. It’s such a pretty place.

This time around, I’m wearing pieces from my friend Lauren Lail’s line, Library. Lauren is quite possibly the cutest person ever and so talented. What separates her from a lot of designers is two things: first, her expertise in vintage fabrics and fashion… and second, her creative process. Her design process is very textile driven. She sources the fabric first, and then lets that drive the design + shape. This peach silk jacket is the perfect example. The fabric is a heavy silk, and the cut of the blazer really complements that.

I’m sad these posts are over… but my sister and I are actually going back to Charleston in less than two weeks for Garden & Gun’s Jubilee! Can not wait.

Outfit Details: Library Blazer + Top (both c/o) // Candy Shop Vintage Necklace (borrowed) // Madewell Jeans // Nordstrom Boots (on sale)  // Lizzie Fortunato Clutch // Candy Shop Vintage Necklace, worn as a bracelet.

You should know that the Zero George Cafe serves up a mean cheese plate. So good.

Also kinda fun.. Zero George collaborated with another Charleston fave (Croghans) on a Goldbug cocktail, inspired by their Goldbug collection. It’s so yummy… and contains actual gold flakes! I paired it with my Charleston Rice Beads, naturally. This is actually a long necklace that I wrapped around my wrist a few times. It’s one of my favorite pieces of jewelry… because it’s special to Charleston and designed by a good friend… but also so versatile. You can wear it long or short, or as a bracelet.
