Cha Cha Dress.

It’s our last day in Sayulita and I don’t want to go home! Well, I do but I don’t. This homebody has been traveling a LOT this summer and it has just been the best. But I always do love getting back to my little routine back at home. That being said, Sayulita has been INCREDIBLE. I am going to put together a comprehensive travel guide with everything we ate, where we shopped, what we did, and of course our amazing little Air BnB.

This Cha Cha dress is the ultimate summer party dress. It’s just makes me so happy, and the trim/embellishment is so beautiful that it feels like couture! Mestiza is becoming a favorite brand of mine – the attention to detail and craftsmanship is stunning, and all of their dresses are beautifully made (locally in New York) but still at an approachable (not inexpensive, but not completely out of reach). Fun fact: “Mestiza” means a woman of mixed ancestry and celebrates the founders’ shared Filipino-American heritage. Spend some time on their website and you are bound to become obsessed! Also they are having an online sample sale right now so…. enjoy!

Outfit Details: gifted Mestiza Dress  (wearing a small, love it in black, here, more colors here too.) / / Loeffler Randall Heels  (I get lots of q’s about the sizing on these, I take my usual size.) / / Julie Vos Cuff (similar) / / Gentle Monster Sunglasses / / Gucci Purse // gifted J. Ervan x Paula Rallis Earrings

    Hi Grace!

    You look adorable!

    Question that’s been bugging me-

When I first saw those shoes, I assumed they wouldn’t be a big hit and would go on sale because they are velvet sandals and I didn’t think anyone would wear velvet shoes in the spring/summer. Well clearly I was wrong because the shoes are everywhere. What’s the rule with “winter fabrics”? Is that no longer a thing – like white after labor day?

      Hi Emily,
I’ve never even considered that actually! I think for accessories it just doesn’t matter… I’d never wear a velvet dress in the summer (way too hot / common sense) but for shoes or even a bag (especially in a bright color) I think it’s great! I just don’t think there are rules anymore these days… you should wear what you love!

I love Loeffler Randall ‘”Coco” Heels . Delivered today a size :7 pink velvet pair. However, my feet are wide and maybe I should’ve ordered a 7 1/2, not sure. But ill make it work. But seeing you in them made me want a pair even more. Your style is inspiring Grace.

Sorry to hear that! My feet are more narrow so maybe that’s why. xx
