Caroline Constas Off the Shoulder Top - Grace Atwood, The Stripe
top // jeans // bag // sandals

One last bonjour from France. Today we are taking the train from Rennes to Paris and then flying home. It’s been an incredible (and jam packed!) few days with Saint James. We’ve been going, going, going. I didn’t think it was even possible to see and do as much as we did (8 cities in 4 days!) and am so grateful for this incredible adventure. That being said, I am so behind on pretty much everything – email, social media, and so on and so forth. So I apologize if you are reading this and I owe you an email! That being said… we’ve seen and done so much.

Yesterday was pretty scary. We hiked up Mont Saint-Michel and did a tour of the Abbey. I was without cell reception (and six hours ahead of my friends and family). As we got closer to our car my cell reception came back… only to have several worried text messages pop up from friends and family. I immediately pulled up the news only to see that Isis attackers stabbed an 86 year old priest in Normandy… and then sliced his throat. And the killer was only 19 years old. I’m so sad and sick to my stomach. Since leaving last Friday I’ve heard of at least 3 or 4 big attacks around the world. I don’t even really know what to say besides that I’m sad and scared and have found myself saying little prayers to myself more than usual. I’m excited to get home and squeeze Tyrion tonight.

It feels stupid even talking about my outfit but I already wrote out this stuff before I left and I know that’s what you come here for. So anyway, here’s what I’m wearing.

I bought this blouse from Caroline Constas after seeing it on my friend Merritt (she has raved about the designer multiple times now – I had to see what she was talking about!) She was right. It’s just so pretty. I paired it with my favorite pair of white skinny jeans. I’ve had Paige’s Skyline skinnies for over four years now which feels kind of crazy. (Don’t ask how I have kept my white jeans in such good shape because I don’t know – I’m a mess!) I have two pairs now and they are just the greatest. The fit is wonderful, they’re super comfy and flattering, and they hit just at the ankle.

Two more things we need to talk about:

1 – KREWE Eyewear. I bought this pair after seeing them on my friend Deirdre and am just so obsessed. They have so many cute styles. I have a really hard time finding great sunglasses (I have a big face!) This pair is next on my list… I love the updated/tortoise take on the classic aviator.

2 – My necklace. It’s just the same long Julie Vos necklace I always wear, but I was feeling clever so I looped the toggle bar through and wore it like a y-chain. I love how such a simple change breathes new life into an old fave.

Yes, I’ve read those news and it’s incredible what the heck is going on in the world right now… Feels like everybody went nuts or something…? I have no idea what to think but I do know that I will always try to focus on the positive and that I’ll still try my best to do what I can to bring goodness to wherever I go.

You’re such a beauty and once again I’m absolutely loving the way you’ve styled this outfit. ๐Ÿ™‚

This world we live in is SO crazy, and it’s even crazier that this is becoming the “new normal”.

But since I like to try to stay positive, this look is perfect on you and I’m really looking forward to learning more about your trip with Saint James – I love their brand so much!
