Springtime Blues.

How was your weekend? Mine was really nice and relaxing. I stayed in on Friday and most of Saturday.. only venturing out to go to the gym and run a few errands. One exciting thing that happened (and I don’t even want to say it out loud, or get too excited because I’m worried that I will curse it) is that I looked at the most amazing apartment in Brooklyn. It’s perfect. It’s a true one bedroom, has an outdoor patio (I could get a grill!), AND my best friend lives upstairs… so yeah, pretty much perfect. We shall see…! I would be the happiest girl ever if it works out.

Besides that exciting little bit of news I got a lot of work done, got my hair cut, started packing for Charleston (I moved my flight and am now leaving this afternoon instead of tomorrow!) and did a lot of chores. Oh and I started Big Little Lies (are you watching? I loved the book and the series is SO good!!!)

Anyway, let’s talk about the clothes. I bought this dress during the big Shopbop sale and could not love it more. Caroline Constas has become one of my all time favorite, favorite designers. It started with this off-the-shoulder blouse (last year) which I now have in both white and pale blue (see it on the blog here and here). Her pieces are pricy but fit my body really well. If you are tall and somewhat curvy, she will become one of your favorites, too. Expect to see more of her stuff on the blog this Spring… I just love her.

PS – I could not love this hat more! And besides the fact that it’s very cute, it’s also special to me as one of my dear friends (Julia!) designed it. So fun!

Outfit Details: Caroline Constas Bardot Embroidered Dress (also in white!) // Very old Madewell belt – for a similar look, try this (my personal favorite), this, or this. // Chanel Purse (also here) // Joie Banji Wrap Sandals // Lemon Stripes x Hat Attack Hat (c/o) // J.Crew Beaded Rumba Earrings // Julie Vos Bali Bracelet // Julie Vos Byzantine Cuff

Look for Less: Dress (love this + this too) // Sandals // Bag

  1. A blue floral pattern is perfect for the beginning of spring – it’s not too summery but it’s a step away from winter!

  5. That’s a gorgeous outfit! The dress is lovely. For some reason, this outfit has a very vacation-y vibe to it. Maybe it’s the hat haha

  13. What a gorgeous dress, and I’m in love with those shoes. This last photo is funny for me- you look like the picture of spring bliss, but there is a blurry dude in a full winter parka in the background. Clearly he is not thinking of pretty spring clothes for warm weather vacations! Have fun in Charleston!

    • HAHA yes that’s hilarious. I swear it was actually really warm that day, though maybe I did go a bit overboard! 😉

    Gorgeous!!

Don’t you just LOVE Big Little Lies?? I live about an hour up the coast from Monterey, and it’s so cool to see all these places I know in a show I’m enjoying so much. I’m a relatively new transplant to CA from the south, so still get a little thrill each time something like that happens….

    • Yes, I love it so so much!!! I have never been to Monterey but it sounds so amazing.
