Last weekend, Stefan and I headed up to Lake Placid for a weekend at the summer camp he grew up going to. It would take an essay to explain how important the camp is to him, his friends, and his family, and now me… but I can let the photos I took show you what a magical place it is. As we did last year, and the year before that, we spent four nights sleeping in the woods, taking long naps in the grass, and drinking/singing/making merriment by a camp fire at night. Not in the mix? Makeup, showering (sort of – I snuck in a few) and technology. Naturally, crafts and friendship bracelet making were a must.

Thank you, Lola! It really was so nice and peaceful. 🙂
LOVE Lake Placid and the entire area. It’s hard to describe to people who haven’t been there how magnificent the scenery really is. I lived there for several years while a family member trained at the Olympic Center. It looks like you had good weather which is really good – because we used to feel sorry for visitors when it rained for days.
I completely agree… there just aren’t words for it! When the weather isn’t good, it’s not quite as magical… but it’s just such a serene, magical place! I feel so lucky that my bf grew up there because I get to go so often! x
great:)

Love that ‘winged’ gold chain, or whatever it is called.
It’s fishbone chain! I love it too… one of my favorite chains in the world (how nerdy is that!?) haha.
I want to go with you guys next summer
Oh please come with! Would be so fun. We can have a crafts camp. 😉
