Calypso Fall Picks

Calypso-Picks

Cashmere Poncho // Striped Cashmere Turtleneck // Striped, Sequined Tee (hello, my new mascot!) // Fedora // Earrings // Sequined Leggings // Star Ballet Flats // Striped Crewneck Cashmere Sweater // Faux Fur Coat (possibly my dream coat?) // Sequined Tank // Feather Pendant Necklace

You guys know by now how much I adore Calypso St. Barth.  Year round, I live in their clothes.  The exquisite attention to detail, the cashmere, the embroidery, the sequins… all reasons I love them so much.  I’ve rounded up some of my favorites above (seriously, the above is pretty much my dream Fall shopping list), but the more important thing is that now through Sept 29, you can save up to $250 off of your order.  Oh hello.  Happy shopping!

Oh hello!! I’ve never heard of this brand but just fell in love. There is nothing I love more than drowning in knits. Love!

That’s a pretty collection but not the most practical for most people. It would be nice to see clothes that are pretty, of high quality, and reasonably priced.

Hi Cathleen, I’m sorry… i try to mix it up around here showing pieces that are a range of price points and style. Calypso’s quality is fantastic, but yes, the prices can be steep. (That’s why I love sales like this one.) I should note that I’m probably in a minority in that I can wear sequins to work so these are pieces I would actually wear to death (also – all of my calypso cashmere sweaters have lasted for years and years and years). That said, I am featuring some really (pretty) affordable pieces next week so I do hope you’ll come back!

Thank you, Grace. No reason to be sorry, and I hope what I said was not taken as being rude. I just sometimes see pieces on different sites that are so high-priced that it just seems out of touch with reality. They are nice pieces to dream about, and they are good ideas/inspiration. I can understand investing in good clothing for work or even outside of work. You do feature a mix, and I do appreciate that. I even bought a pretty casual striped dress from Old Navy that you wore. I will keep coming back. Yours is my favorite blog!

Aw, thanks Cathleen… I do hear ya on how expensive things can be on blogs – and definitely didn’t perceive it as rude. I basically work two full time jobs between my job and blog, so I do treat myself to some nice things here and there… sometimes I’m nervous to wear them on the site for fear of criticism.

I do have some fun splurge/save content coming up that I hope you like. (And I love that Old Navy dress BTW…) Oddly enough today at work I’m wearing an old navy dress with a cashmere cardigan from Calypso. 🙂

Oh I love seeing your outfits. I think I like that much more than pictures of clothes, because I like to see how you styled them. Your blog is such an inspiration to me that I am trying to start my own, and I also picked up a couple of volunteer positions doing PR/social media.

Well I cannot wait to see the posts you mentioned, and I can certainly understand a spurge here or there. Thank you for having such a great blog.

lol sure… $250 off $750! I love their stuff, but it’s SO expensive. I have to wait for deep discounts before I can afford it.

Those sequined pants are so much fun and every single sweater looks cozy! I have to agree with Rebecca though, CSP is a little too steep for my wallet.
