I’m back in New York after a whirlwind trip to Cabo! I got home at 2am… so it will be a bit of a later start today. 😉
I know you guys are probably more interested in seeing Fall/Winter clothes right now so I’ve put two outfits from this trip into one post… I have a few more posts about our trip coming down the pipeline, but these are two of my favorite outfits that I wore to our evening events during the film festival. If you have a trip planned, take note – you need these dresses.
Wishing you a pain-free Monday. This weekend is going to be bananas for me as I’ve been gone for almost a week. I have a lot of work to get done in these parts (my gift guides start this week!) and Wednesday is the L’Oreal Women of Worth Awards so I have a few events around that as a part of my year long partnership with them. I made sure to schedule in all of my workouts (and reading breaks – yes, I am super cool like that) ahead of time to ensure that I don’t go too crazy!
This floaty pink dress is now on major sale and is so perfect for vacation, but it would also look great with cognac boots and a cashmere cardigan or a leather jacket.

Isn’t this Kate Spade purse just the cutest? It’s just perfect. It doesn’t hold very much but it’s perfect for those nights where all you need are your phone, credit card, ID, and lipstick. I am always partial to a cross-body where possible as I like to have my hands free (for hugging friends and holding drinks).
Eeeeee – my Ben-Amun collection launches on Wednesday and I’m so excited! This necklace is so classic and my bracelet is actually a longer necklace that I wrapped around my wrist several times.
And then there is this Lilly Pulitzer dress (also available here). If you are going on vacation, please BUY it. It’s pure magic… floaty and perfect and makes you want to dance all night long.
I will say that it runs pretty big. I am wearing a medium but really wish I had gotten a small. It’s too big in the boobs and I kept worrying that I’d have a wardrobe malfunction. I didn’t have time to take it to the tailor before I left but I’m bringing it today to have it taken in a bit as it will be amazing on my next adventure… (I’m thinking about going to Art Basel and I’m going on a cruise through South America in December!)
These earrings from Hart Hagerty (another Charleston-based friend – her stuff is incredible!) are just the best. I’ve had them for a while and they don’t go with any of my winter outfits – I was excited to pull them out for vacation!

Lilly always comes to top of mind for warm weather escapes in the winter (they carry resort clothing year round, whereas it’s hard to find tropical clothes at other retailers this time of year). In this case, I was invited to a press preview for their collaboration with St. Tropez (more on that to come) and they were kind enough to let me pick out a few dresses to wear on my trip!
My cruise goes to Cartagena… and then Panama, Costa Rica, and Cozumel. So a mix of LA + SA. 🙂

Check your IG messages, I sent you a panicky one from the dressing room, haha 🙂 As you know, i’ve been obsessing over that Lilly dress and it was on sale for $239 from $398 today so I went for it! (Really was ready to go for it either way at this point since I’m leaving for Sydney on Wednesday…)
I came back to this post because was wondering how it fit you! I feel like we are generally about the same size, and the medium fit me perfectly everywhere except was SO gappy in the boobs, like total side boob. They didn’t have a small so I ended up going for the large, which lays flatter on my chest but is ginormous in the back…but for 40% off…I couldn’t not. Like you, will probably take to get tailored after my trip. Do you have a tailor in the city you like? I still take stuff home to NJ sometimes but that’s getting old…
Oh man! Haha! What a debacle. Yeah, the medium was a bit big on me too so I had my tailor just take it in a little in the back and it was fine. To be honest I don’t even know the name of my tailor but I like him! He is on 28th street, between Lex and 3rd… South side of the street, next to an eyebrow threading place. I love him!
