Brooklyn Flea

Last weekend, my sister and I finally paid a visit to the Brooklyn Flea Market.  Embarrassingly, despite having lived in the city for over six years now, it was my first time.  My sister’s been here only a few years, and has gone a bajillion times.  I really need to get out of Manhattan more often.  A total feast for the eyes, I found myself getting lost in trove after trove of treasures.  I could have spent all day (and my entire paycheck) there, but we stayed for just a few hours and I left with a cobalt blue glass bottle (bought for $1.00,) some silver knuckle rings, and a heavenly homemade lavender salve from Apotheke.

Wow, amazing! The self control to only buy those few things. I’m like a kid in a candy store in flea markets like this. WHenever we go to Vermont we’re sure to hit up flea markets, antique markets and auctions. So glad you finally made it here!

I love the Flea! It always feels like such an adventure although I’m definitely partial to going to the outdoor one (which has soooo much good food too).  I’ve found some really cool art there in the past and I love all of the mirrors from Olde Good Things!

I heart BK Flea!   It’s a time warp though, you can be searching for hours.  I really like the outdoor one and have yet to go to the inside one, but still looks just as fun.  it’s like a treasure hunt every time!
